At Streetsville Dental we think long-term, since our patients continue to see us for life-times. We build relationships based on trust, and developed with reliable information and sincere treatment advice.
Timothy M. Lee, BSc. (PT), DDS.
Dr. Lee currently practices modern dentistry with a personal touch. It is his belief that good dentistry is best performed when considering the wishes of patients. Time spent discussing treatment options and addressing all comfort concerns beforehand translates into a relaxed patient experience. It’s this experience, with sincerity and integrity, that Dr. Lee strives for.
On top of being a dentist with over 25 years of experience, graduating from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1995, Dr. Lee has a degree in physiotherapy. With this unique qualification, Dr. Lee has developed a special interest in jaw (“TMJ”) disorders. He is also qualified to administer Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) to provide a more comfortable experience for children and individuals with apprehension to dental care.
To keep current in the changing world of general and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Lee has attended hundreds of hours of Continuing Education courses and hands-on programs. He continually fine-tunes his knowledge by being active in various professional associations, such as Ontario Dental Association – Halton-Peel Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.
In October 2020, Dr. Lee was named Fellow of the American College of Dentists (ACD). Fellows are selected based on demonstrated leadership, ethics, and professionalism in the dental profession. Every year, only approximately 200 Fellowships are awarded worldwide. Dr. Lee was honoured in a ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the ACD.
In 2015, Dr. Lee was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, for contributions to the art and science of Dentistry. This prestigious international organization was founded in 1936 and aims to advance the profession of dentistry as well as improve dental health worldwide.
Dr. Lee also received the Community Service Recognition Award from the Ontario Dental Association, for his work in developing countries with the non-profit organization Health Outreach. Dr. Lee founded Health Outreach and for over 20 years has led dental and medical teams to Guatemala and other developing countries donating product, medicine and dental services, supporting the communities in need.
Dr. Lee continues to support and give back to the community since founding an independently owned Streetsville Dental 20 years ago. Streetsville Dental continuously provides Children’s Dental Orientation Program for area preschools. This helps small children overcome any worries about first-time dental visits. He also supports various Rotary Clubs in Mississauga.
In his leisure time, Dr. Lee enjoys the outdoors and photography. He lives with his wife Liz and two daughters, Bethany and Rebecca.
Dr. Neda Amin
