You and your dentist
One of life’s special relationships. It’s something that we take seriously at Streetsville Dental. Here we think long-term, since our patients continue to see us for life-times. We build relationships based on trust, and developed with reliable information and sincere treatment advice.
Timothy M. Lee, BSc. (PT), DDS.
Dr. Timothy Lee graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1995. He is licensed with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. Lee currently practices modern dentistry with a personal touch. It is his belief that good dentistry is best performed when considering the wishes of patients. A lot of time is spent discussing treatment options and approaches before work is initiated. The added benefit is that patient ‘comfort concerns’ are revealed beforehand. These factors all come together to make for a comfortable patient experience.
As well as being an experienced dentist, Dr. Lee has a degree in physiotherapy. With this unique qualification, Dr. Lee has developed a special interest in jaw (“TMJ”) disorders. He is also qualified to administer Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) to provide a more comfortable experience for children and anxious individuals.
To keep current in the changing world of general and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Lee has attended hundreds of hours of Continuing Education courses and hands-on programs. He continually fine-tunes his knowledge by being active in various professional associations:
- Ontario Dental Association – Halton-Peel Dental Association
- Academy of General Dentistry
Recently Dr. Lee was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, for contributions to the art and science of Dentistry. This prestigious international organization was founded in 1936 and aims to advance the profession of dentistry as well as improve dental health worldwide.
Dr. Lee also received the Community Service Recognition Award from the Ontario Dental Association, for his work in developing countries with the non-profit organization Health Outreach.
Dr. Lee believes in supporting and giving back to the community of Streetsville. Streetsville Dental continues to provide a Children’s Dental Orientation Program for area preschools. This helps small children overcome any worries about first-time dental visits. He also supports various Rotary Clubs in Mississauga. In 2009, he was received the Paul Harris Award which recognizes individuals who meet high professional and personal standards.
In his leisure time, Dr. Lee enjoys running and photography. Some of his photographic prints are on re on display at his office. Dr. Lee is also actively involved in providing outreach dentistry with the charity Health Outreach, which he founded. He leads dental teams to Guatemala and other developing countries donating product, medicine and dental services to the less fortunate.
Dr. Neda Amin
Dr. Amin attended the University of Toronto at Mississauga where she graduated with honours. She then completed dental school at the University of Sydney in Australia, also graduating with honours. Her clinical experience ranges from basic restorative procedures to emergency care in large multidisciplinary settings.
Dr. Amin believes in optimal, comprehensive dental care. You’ll find that she’s especially good with children. She will initially cover two Saturdays a month at our office. Dr. Lee is no longer available on Saturdays.
After growing up in Streetsville, Dr. Amin looks forward to serving the community very familiar to her.
