Crooked teeth can lead to premature wear

Teeth that are not aligned properly in your mouth create what is called a
“malocclusion.” Left untreated, “crooked” teeth create abnormal  stress
on teeth and jaws, leading to premature wear.

Here’s a young man who I saw last week. He’s only 19 years old but the wear
on his “eyeteeth” is dramatic. We generally see this in those age 50 and
over. It’s occurring because his opposing teeth contact each other
end-to-end, as seen in the first picture.

The solution is to align the teeth with orthodontic treatment,  either with
braces or Invisalign clear aligners.

Straightening teeth

Yes it is true that you could have your teeth strains as adult but keep in
mind that these wear patterns will still  be obvious even after put on a
treatment is finished as an adult.
